Altrincham Little Theatre – Your Local Stage with a Big Heart
Nestled in the heart of Altrincham, our theatre has been part of the town’s cultural fabric since 1896 – evolving from humble church hall performances into a vibrant public theatre with a proud tradition of entertaining and inspiring our community. Housed in a beautifully converted Methodist chapel since 1962, Altrincham Little Theatre offers a warm, intimate space where storytelling thrives and local talent shines. Whether you’re stepping through our doors for the first time or you’ve been attending for decades, you’ll find a place where everyone’s welcome and the magic of live theatre is always centre stage.
We present five high-quality productions each season, running for seven nights each, and our repertoire is as varied as our audiences – from timeless classics to contemporary gems. We’re also passionate about encouraging fresh voices, so new plays and emerging writers are an important part of our programming. With modern facilities, including a full-size rehearsal room, bar/lounge, and well-equipped backstage areas, everything we do is powered by a dedicated team of volunteers who pour their heart and soul into every performance.
As a proud member of the Little Theatre Guild since 2008 and an award-winning presence on the amateur theatre scene, we’re always looking forward.
