Macclesfield Amateur Dramatics Society

MADS is a volunteer-run theatre in Macclesfield, Cheshire. We have our own Little Theatre on Lord Street (capacity 193) which has a permanently extended stage, a state-of-the-art flying grid and sound system, and a fully fitted bar and lounge. We produce around 5-6 main stage productions and up to three studio shows annually as well as providing a performing space for many other local groups. There’s something for everyone to enjoy – drama, comedy, thrillers, costume plays, even Shakespeare!

We offer anyone the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of theatre – front-of-house, set building, wardrobe, props, production and technical (lights and sound) – not just acting and directing. So whether you’re looking for tickets, a new hobby or simply a drink from the bar, we look forward to welcoming you soon.
