Other Activities

Incognito is aptly named, as this intimate 64 seat theatre is hidden away behind a clinic on Holly Park Road, Friern Barnet.  It was converted into a theatre in the late 1940s from an old council building having previously been a fizzy drinks factory, built about 1900.

The theatre has a foyer with a bar, a 64 seat auditorium, a stage, a dedicated lighting and sound control room and a workshop. Upstairs there are two dressing rooms and extensive costume, furniture and props stores. In addition there is an outside seating area which audiences can use in the interval whilst enjoying a drink.

The company puts on five productions of eight performances every year, and occasionally staged readings on a Saturday afternoon and evening. We are volunteer-led and do not employ staff or have work experience for students.

Incognito has a Respect Charter, Equal Opportunities Policy and a proud history of training young actors, most notably Sir David Jason who started his distinguished career with us and is also our patron.
