Our Sponsors
At the Little Theatre Guild, we deeply value our sponsors for the vital role they play in supporting amateur theatre at every level. Their generosity helps us nurture creativity, sustain venues, and bring high-quality productions to audiences across the UK. Sponsors allow us to invest in information and resources, develop community engagement, and ensure the future of community theatre.
Their support is more than financial – it’s a partnership that celebrates and strengthens the cultural life of our member theatres.
Thank you.

Derek Webb
As a playwright, screenwriter, poet, and author, I’ve always believed in the power of storytelling to entertain, provoke, and inspire. Since leaving the rush of Surrey (and the M25!) for the quieter creativity of Pembrokeshire in 2001, I’ve been lucky enough to see my work performed across the UK and beyond.
Many of my plays – both full-length and one-act are available through Stagescripts.com, and I’ve had the pleasure of writing everything from historical dramas and classic adaptations to comedies and murder mysteries. One of the highlights has been adapting the Ealing classic Kind Hearts and Coronets for the stage – bringing this much-loved British film to life in theatres.
You might know my Agatha Crusty series of murder mystery comedies, which have seen hundreds of productions worldwide. They continue to delight audiences with their mix of clever plotting and laugh-out-loud moments. I’m also proud of dramas like Call Me Dusty, which explores the life of Dusty Springfield, and Strong Steam, which tells the story of forgotten inventor Richard Trevithick.
If you’re looking for original plays with heart, humour, and strong characters, I invite you to explore my work.
There’s something for every stage and every audience.
Whaleys Stages
At Whaleys Stages, we’ve been bringing theatre spaces to life for over 30 years, creating high-quality stage drapes, backdrops, and specialist fabrics for productions of all sizes. What began with a single request to make a pair of Front of House curtains has grown into one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of theatre drapes, serving venues across the globe.
Part of Whaleys (Bradford) Ltd – a company founded in 1869 – our stage division combines over 150 years of textile expertise with a passion for the performing arts. Whether you’re outfitting a school stage, a community theatre, or a major concert venue, we offer bespoke solutions tailored to your space, style, and sound.
Our range includes cycloramas, festoon curtains, painted backdrops, floor cloths, and acoustic curtains – all expertly crafted in our dedicated sewing and flameproofing departments. We’ve worked with top venues such as Manchester Arena, the House of Parliament, and the First Direct Arena, as well as countless theatres, schools, and production companies.
From one curtain to complete staging transformations, we pride ourselves on quality, creativity, and service.
