Join us in Kent for a day of insight and inspiration – and a night out with the Lion!!

Medway Little Theatre are delighted to be hosting the 2024 LTG Southern Region Conference at their Little Theatre in the historic town of Medway on the banks of the River Medway and close to Chatham Dockyard. The theatre is a 12 minute walk from Rochester mainline station which is 40 mins from either Victoria Station or Stratford International station on southeastern rail.

The Conference will be a one day event but delegates can choose to attend the performance of The Lion in Winter on either the Friday or Saturday nights.

It will be a friendly and fun event for all those member theatre attending.

Agenda

10.00 – 10.45 Arrival – coffee & pastries served in the Copley Room at MLT. Also a chance to peek backstage. (Note – in small groups only and will involve steep stairs)

10.45 – 11.30 Introduction to Medway Little Theatre – history and successes including the Duncan Rand One-Act Play Festival.

11:30 – 12:15 Workshop 1: The Medway Little Theatre (MLT) journey to LED lighting by Mic Aldington and the MLT tech team.

12.30 – 13.30 Sandwich lunch at a local charity Gillingham Street Angels Café, Bellerophon House, Doust Way, Rochester (5min walk away)

13:45 – 14:30 A Theatre Adjudicator – the life of: Amanda Sharpe-Conroy

14:45 – 15:30 Coffee, cake and networking: opportunity to peek backstage.

15:30 – 16:30 LTG Southern Region AGM and Open Forum discussion

16:30 – 19:00 Free time to go back to hotel and/or dinner or return home.

19:00 Back to Medway Little Theatre

19:30 – 22:00 Performance of The Lion in Winter by James Goldman
