If you have a production taking place on or around 27 March 2020, here is a great opportunity for a bit of extra publicity and to share your event with amateur theatre groups from around the world.

AITA/IATA – International Amateur Theatre Association – has created the  World Theatre Day website for amateur theatre groups to add and share their event globally.

World Theatre Day has been celebrated by the professional theatre since 1962. Each year a well-known person connected with theatre writes an inspiring message about the value of theatre. Laurence Olivier, Peter Brook and Judi Dench are among the contributors from the UK. In 2020, AITA/IATA decided it was time for the amateur theatre to celebrate this day and established this new website. If you have a production taking place on or around 27 March, do add your event.
