Online community (Re-Source): opportunity to join a pilot

Deadline 26 January 2026

Michael Smalley is a Senior Lecturer in Theatre Production at the Guildford School of Acting (GSA). His current research involves leveraging the work of the Theatre Green Book (TGB) to make it easier for all sectors of the theatre community to achieve higher TGB production standards. As a Stage Manager of many years’ experience, he is aware of some of the problems involved in sourcing and managing the needs of productions. He is hoping to build an online community (Re-Source) that provides the infrastructure required to power the circular economy for the theatre industry and your insights would be invaluable. At the heart of Re-source is an app that allows users to manage the things you have and find the things you need for productions without the pains of data entry or playing the guess-the-keyword game when searching.

Please register (Pilot Registration – Community Theatre – Fill out form) to secure your place as one of the 100 community theatre organisations to pilot this new approach. Participating in the pilot will require about an hour of your time between January 26th and February 27th 2026 and will involve testing out the app and providing feedback. Organisations who complete the pilot activities will receive ongoing benefits and go into the draw for prizes (which are still being worked out). The pilot is completely free.

If you have any questions you can find Michael and Re-Source on LinkedIn or email him directly at m.smalley@gsa.surrey.ac.uk

Many thanks,

Michael
