LTG National Conference 2025: 27 – 29 June Royalty Theatre, Sunderland

The event will start on Friday evening 27 June and end at lunchtime on Sunday 29 June. Delegates will have the opportunity to see a production of The Wedding Singer on Saturday evening. Do not book your tickets for this event. The conference theme will be hiring of theatres and the Keynote speaker on Sunday morning is Helen Nicholson, Professor of Theatre and Performance, Royal Holloway, University of London who will speak more about her work on Researching Local Theatres, which you can read about in the LTG Yearbook, page 15.

Northern Region Secretary Caroline Chapman is heading the organising team and more more information will be available soon.

Location – the Royalty Theatre is in the heart of Sunderland and you can find it on Google Maps HERE. It is a 16 minute walk from Sunderland Train Station where there is also a Metro which takes you directly to Newcastle main line station.

Parking – there is no parking at the theatre and very limited on-street parking in the vicinity.

Hotels – the theatre is a 9 min walk from the Travelodge Sunderland Central and Premier Inn City Centre and 14 min walk from the Holiday Inn Sunderland City Centre.
