All who attended the 2019 LTG National Conference and AGM at Highbury Theatre Centre, Sutton Coldfield had a great time. Excellent production, fascinating workshops, speedy AGM, great food and wonderful company.

During National and Regional Conferences, the LTG National Committee will from now on, organise one of the workshops which will focus on one of the many issues raised by you. This inaugural Committee Workshop was on Fundraising and delegates heard from two Members:

• John Evans, Sinodun Players at the Corn Exchange Wallingford talked about their approach to raising money to re-build their new roof and refurbish the auditorium. Presentation HERE

• Nick Insley, Tower Theatre, Stoke Newington talked about the 15 year path to finding their new home and the £2.5m needed to convert the building they found. Presentation HERE.

There was a short Q & A after the presentations and it was interesting to note the parallel experiences and similar lists of do’s and don’ts.

Caroline Chapman, LTG Secretary recorded the key points raised during the Open Forum that followed the AGM and they are HERE.
