Defibrillators (AED)- funding

The Sinodun Players’ Health & Safety Cttee asked LTG about the installation of an AED (Defibrillator) in their theatre as many of the audience members were elderly.
Mike Smith pointed out in his Chairman’s Letter in the LTG Newsletter that no training is needed to operate an AED which enables them to be located where the passing public can access and use them. The website of the British Heart Foundation (BHF) is very helpful – www.bhf.org.uk.
The BHF confirm that grants are available for the purchase and installation of an AED and attached is the information they emailed. Grants are available but certain conditions must be met about the location of the AED, which must be accessible to the public.
